Spelling Bee

Description:
Enroll your child in a 20-week spelling course that prepares students for the annual, Scripps' National Spelling Bee competition. Small group instruction under the supervision of certified teachers and tutors. This course provides an official Scripps study list based on grade level, and access to group study lessons during the weeks leading up to competition. Classes focus on defining words, understanding their Latin/Greek roots, and practicing healthy study habits. The winner and runner up of the school-wide contest will advance to the county level spelling bee hosted by the Howard County Library System (HCLS) each March. Grades 3rd thru 8th.
